10 of 20 score on leaks

Post by alancalan » Fri Oct 03, 2025 10:31 am

I'm doing okay with my sleeping except for the leaks. I only get 10 points out of 20 for that on the ResMed app occasionally I get a little more and occasionally I get a little less.

I was always a mouth breather and I don't ever remember having luck with a full face mask. I'm using a chin strap, the thin black one I don't know the name but it's thin and it's got straps it can be tightened by pulling them down after releasing the velcro. It's not one big strap and I guess it's not working great.

So I tried the F-20, is both kinds of cushions the cloth one and the all clear one and that thing hydroplanes off my face, not totally off but they seem to rise causing weeks big leaks however there were a few times where it didn't wake but now I don't remember the issues behind it I'm not even sure if I went back to the records I could find it because I might not have changed the the kind of mask that I used in the preferences of the air curve 11. For some reason I believe that I need a much lower pressure setting for the f20 than I need for the p30i. Have any of you ever encountered that kind of situation. I believe the PA in my doctor's office even before I complained about anything sent to me by the way if you're having trouble with the mask you could try some Vaseline. Well you can't do that on the cloth version of the f20 mask but you can do it on the clear one. I haven't tried that because generally anything that comes out of my doctor's office is meaningless.

With the p30i I'm not really waking up tired but I think I could sleep better. I did lose weight so that helps. And sometimes I'm sleeping only 6 hours sometimes a little less sometimes a little more. However I'm not as active as I was as I haven't played tennis in 2 years but I need to get back there.

So my concerns are how do I get my mouth to close for the p30i and how do I get the F20 not to hydroplane off my face?

Settings: IP 15, EP 7, PS 4, TI MAX 2.0, TI MIN 0.3, Hydration 5
autocurve 11 bypapp.

To help you, data is needed. It's easy to get. ---->

1. Create a free account at SleepHQ.com
2. Import the data from your machine's SD card to SleepHQ.com
3. Post the link in this thread
4. Any personally identifying data in the link is redacted by SleepHQ.

Welcome!

Thanks but I'm using Oscar and I'm just doing the update as matter of fact. I appreciate your work but you're also selling machines and you still charging for the app? What would I be missing if I stayed with the free app?

I'm actually sitting here In the last message was

Waiting for the www.appneaboard.com to respond...

I guess they don't have staff but it's a pretty good program

They must be out to lunch.

Oh, ChicagoGranny we've talked a few times I think. Is Sleep HG your app?

As far as I know, the owners of SleepHQ don't sell machines and never did. You can read about them here - https://shop.sleephq.com/pages/about-us

And, no, my name is neither Nick nor Adam. I've never been to Australia and have no plans to go there in this life. I've never even made a phone call to Australia.

My app?? No. More technically, it's an online platform instead of an app that's loaded on one of your devices.

Personally, I use SleepHQ and keep my copy of OSCAR updated in case SleepHQ decides to no longer offer a free account.

I recommend SleepHQ for this forum because -

1. It's so easy to use.
2. The charts do not require any formatting.
3. A link can be posted here without the trouble of hosting a screenshot.
4. All personally identifying information is redacted from the link.
5. And importantly, helping members can zoom in on a user's charts.

All those points are missing with OSCAR. I have a great appreciation for OSCAR. But I am also practical.

Try it. You might prefer it.

Good luck with apnea board.
