Hello!
I've been using my Airsense Resmed 11 for about 3 months and just wanted to get some guidance on how to interpret my data, as well as how I can make improvements to the therapy.
I'm 28 years old, and after a few years of snoring complaints and bad sleep I ended up getting a sleep study in June (~10 AHI). I've been pretty diligent about using the machine, but only getting about 4-5 hours of therapy per night on average as I sometimes remove the mask while I'm sleeping.
I just want to know what kind of things I should look out for in Oscar to assist my therapy and also get some expertise on whether my settings look optimal. I have been averaging 2.2 AHI over these months and not sure if that is acceptable.
To be perfectly honest, I don't know that I could point to any significant improvement in my sleep quality over these 3 months.
I appreciate any and all feedback to my data and let me know if you want me to post anything else from Oscar, I'll be checking daily to answer any questions.
Thanks again,
Hunter

I only looked at the one night on the line graph.
You want to look at the leak level. It's good, except for a short period of moderate leak.
You want to look at the pressure line. There are no wide swings, except for early in your night. Which sleeping position did you start the night in? Did you change positions later?
Your OA and H are good, which is an indication that the pressure settings are controlling your obstructive apnea.
You have a few CAs, but these could be post-arousal and harmless. If we could zoom in on some of those, a judgment could be made. More about zooming in the final paragraph.
Why do you remove the mask? If it is subconscious, some people have taped the mask straps to their face until they were habituated to leaving the mask on all night.
What other issues do you have?
About zooming, you can get a free account at SleepHQ.com and upload your SD card. You will get a report with a link. The link can be posted in this thread. It will take us to your properly formatted charts. Any personally identifying information will be redacted. The link will allow us to zoom in on some of those CAs. (Keep your OSCAR program.)
Sorry, I'm in a hurry, but there is not much left to say at this point.

Re: Been 4 months on CPAP, requesting a review for my data
Thank you!
I start my sleep on my back and end up sleeping on one of my sides.
The mask removal is definitely subconscious, I wake up with no memory of having removed it. I'll give the taping idea a shot starting tonight.
My main issue is just making sure that the AHI of 2.2 is acceptable or if I should be shooting for lower, and how to go about that if necessary.
I transferred the data to sleepHQ and here is the link :

Thanks for your response!

Ahh, that explains why your pressure was higher at the beginning of your sleep. Typically, pressure needs are the highest when back-sleeping. This is because gravity is directly pulling the soft palate and tongue into the airway. On the sides or stomach, the pull of gravity is not as direct.Sleeptalkerboss wrote: ↑Tue Sep 16, 2025 5:14 pmI start my sleep on my back and end up sleeping on one of my sides.
First, the goal of CPAP is to sleep well and feel good during the day. The analysis tools are only an aid towards this goal.Sleeptalkerboss wrote: ↑Tue Sep 16, 2025 5:14 pmMy main issue is just making sure that the AHI of 2.2 is acceptable or if I should be shooting for lower, and how to go about that if necessary.
I zoomed in on a couple of the CAs.You take a deep breath immediately before the ones I looked at. You had an arousal and took that breath. Your CA was a post-arousal CA. These events are not harmful and can be discounted from the AHI. Generally, an AHI of 2.0 or less is considered good therapy.
I notice at times your leak is a bit high. It's not so bad, but you might want to keep an eye on it.
Overall, you seem to be doing well judging from the stats. The important question is how well you sleep, and how good you feel the next day.
