PulseOx shopping

Post by kwikwater » Mon Sep 08, 2025 2:59 pm

I've used a Contec CMS50-D+ or CMS 50-BT for ages, but I'm needing the data far more lately. The current 50-BT is only giving 1 full night of data, for a pair of AAA batteries, so I'm shopping for a rechargeable unit that OSCAR can read. I'm using it nightly and batteries in my small town are no give away item. $0.80- 1.25 per night will get old fast!! I'm waiting for a reply form Viatom/Wellvue, that is listed in the OSCAR Users Guide, as they look like they generate a CSV file. Anyone know if that's worked for the "other" category offered in the Oximetery Download screen in OSCAR? Thanks all!!

Can your current oximeter use rechargable batteries? The voltage is slightly lower than regular alkaline types, but if they could work it would definitely save some money. I couldn't find a downloadable manual for the CMS 50-BT
Charger and 8 AAA batteries....

I have used a Wellue O2Ring for more than 5 years. It works well and the data loads into OSCAR easily. It also has its own computer app (I use Windows) that can display the data.
This one was before I was using a CPAP....

No. Maybe my rechargables need replaced, but I only get about 5 hours out of them. With my original CMS50 D+ I got 2 nights from a single charge. Not sure if this newer CMS50-BT just takes more energy or those old rechargeables need replaced. That's a cheaper fix than a new pulseox!!
