Choking with burning sensation in my throat

I have been using my CPAP machine for over 10 years and tonight I woke up choking with a burning sensation in my throat? Pretty scary!

Perhaps it's time for a new machine after 10 years?

Are you anywhere near where there's smoke from a fire, etc?
