I just read some of the rules. There is not to be ANY communication with the outside world.
Note that CPAP machines communicate compliance and efficacy data to the DME (or foreign equivalent), to the prescribing doctor, or perhaps to a national health plan. Although I don't see how this kind of information could compromise the conclave, it is still "communications." Considering that there are some 133 electors, plus support staff like cooks, plumbers, doctors, dentists, chamber maids, HVAC technicians, etc., it's hard to imagine that there are no CPAP users.
CPAP at the Papal Election Conclave
Re: CPAP at the Papal Election Conclave
Well, the good news is that their CPAP's only lost communication with the outer world for 1-2 nights, if at all.
What is the proper way to congratulate Catholics for the election of a new Pope?
Mazel Tov?

Why not? We're all otherwise expected to understand/know the Latin allusions.
Re: CPAP at the Papal Election Conclave
Apparently, they still don't want anything like that just in case it got through anyhow. Signal jammers are not 100% reliable.
