Constant Awaking and Residual unflagged events

Post by Alark » Sun Apr 20, 2025 12:43 pm

I’m experiencing constant awakenings and noticing a lot of residual, unflagged events. For example, the night I posted about showed an AHI of just 0.37, but I woke up at least 5+ times. I’m also seeing many breathing disturbances that aren’t being flagged as events.

Does anyone have tips on how to address this? Would increasing pressure or pressure support help? Any advice would be appreciated!

Everything's too small to read!

Are you aware that all the Central apneas, obstructive apneas and hyponeas MUST have a duration of at least 10 seconds to earn a flag.

Looks to me like the bulk of what you shared was just arousal breathing or Sleep/Wake/Junk (SWJ) from not being sound asleep but it doesn't show you why you aren't asleep.
The arousal breathing is a symptom of crappy sleep and not necessarily the cause of the crappy sleep.

I can see most of it just fine but if I need the print larger all I have to do is open the image in a new window (right click mouse over the image will give you that menu option) and then you can magnify the image and/or text.

Can you not do that?

When you realze you've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find the cat's toy and then lose it again you stop trying to be smart about stuff here - you just wonder if you've lost your last brain cell. For real.

Can you please look at these charts of yesterday sleep
Does these unclassified apneas look like centrals to you?
they vary in length (10 to 20 secs)
my setting are
Ipap 18
Epap 13
Rise time 400ms
should i reduce pressure support?

Not really IMHO to me anyway.....I see several that have obvious arousal breaths preceding the flagged event and those are not real asleep centrals anyway.

Are you waking often still yet?

Whatever those flagged events might be....beyond my skill set to identify with any level of certainty and besides....not enough of whatever they are for it to be a problem.

You could of course try changing the PS a bit but I doubt it will make much difference because I don't think they (if they are centrals) are caused by PS anyway.
