Have you seen an MD to check for any other possible issues not necessarily related to sleep, etc?

Waking with bad headaches is very suspicious for teeth clenching and grinding while asleep which you may not even be aware you're doing. There is a correlation between night clenching and sleep apnea. (I have both - my dentist is now fitting me for a night guard.)

The second possible cause that comes to mind is chronic mild dehydration. If you habitually drink a lot of coffee it's possible to get caffeine withdrawal headache as early as the next morning, but I imagine dehydration would be more likely, because caffeine is a diuretic but drinking it all day, you don't think to load up on other fluids.

Research any meds you are taking, as headache is a common side effect.

Those would be the things I'd suspect first, however a visit to the doctor would be wise.
