I went with AirSense 11 after my AS10 expired. After two weeks of use I returned to AS10. The 11 had a chemical smell to its air output I could not tolerate. The AS10 seems a more solid well-built machine.
Doesn't matter much now since you have made the switch, but the 11 should not have had any different smells than a Model 10. I have two of each model and they all smell and work about the same. Must have been a defective machine

A defective machine is what I suspect and from accounts here and other sources, there was more than one that drove people, along with other reasons, back to the AS10. A side by side comparison of the two machines explains it best.

CPAP.com still has new Airsense 10's and I got mine on a Black Friday sale for $300. There's some sort of sale going on right now, but you have to enter your email address and I have enough junk mail.

My wife's Airsense 10 is displaying a warning that blower hours are now more than its design life. I've started to look for a replacement is there any preference between another Airsense 10 versus an Airsense 11? We're not in a big rush as we have a backup machine. Plus she lost her prescription in our last move so there'll be a delay while we sort that out.
I have a gently used AirSense 10 I'd be willing to sell you. I only used it maybe 20 hours at most. Just couldn't get used to it, plus my apnea has mostly gone since I lost a lot of weight. I also have a nasal mask that I purchased separately. $400 or best offer.
