Ask your doctor. No one here knows the details of your diagnosis.
If she proposes an alternative treatment, we may be able to help you through the process.

Since you seem to have problems in your nasal airway, have a consultation and an examination with an ENT to discuss your condition.

Re: is it possible to treat uars without pap machine?
I have been on CPAP since 2019 and have not felt much better. My AHI is generally below 1 and my leak rate is very low. I went to about 5 sleep specialist and since my AHI is very low they were zero help. I have tried all kinds of pressures, mask, positions, etc.and nothing has helped. I have been diagnosed with so many things, including ADHD. I am currently on Adderall. It doesn't make me feel very good, but I can't function without it. I can also get very moody and anxious for no reason. I would tell doctors that something physical was not right and they would just poo-poo it.
I happened to have had a routine colonoscopy where they had me on oxygen for about an hour before the procedure, during the procedure, and for a little while afterwards. When I was dismissed I was told I would probably sleep the rest of the day. Heck no, I felt so good and had so much energy that we shopped all day. The next day I was back to my tired, brain foggy, moody self.
I started hearing about UARS on the forums and YouTube videos and that is when a lightbulb went on. I first went to my dentist and it was discovered my airway was less than 1/2 the size that would be expected. So, now I am wearing Invisalign because my teeth are so crowded and hoping to widen my jaw somewhat.
I decided not to stop there. I saw an ENT and she found a deviated septum with a spur that is closing off my left nostril almost completely. I also have nasal valve collapse in both nostrils. I am scheduled for surgery in a little over a week to have all of this corrected. The ENT (and dentist) have not promised it will get me off the CPAP, but believe that CPAP will be much more effective once the corrections are made. I would love to stop using CPAP, but I have come to terms with the fact I may need it for the rest of my life. Hopefully I will then have the energy to exercise and get a few extra pounds off.
Time will tell, but I am hopeful that I might start feeling better one day soon. That is where I am in my journey in hopes of feeling much more like myself.
