Hello all,
Having trouble getting my AHI down, though I do believe my sleep quality is better/feeling more rested.
My Stats:
-34YO Male 6'2 205#
-Treatment started 11/2/24
-Pre-CPAP at-home study AHI:6.8
-Device Airsense 11 Autoset
-OSCAR data: Attached last 3 nights.
I was originally on 6-16 APAP and then the doctor actually had me go to 12-16, which was awful, couldn't sleep, stomach distension, air blasting out my mouth, worse CA's (i was already at 0/0 before increasing the pressure) so i set it back to current 4-8. Have had a decent amount of variance, have also noticed that I get a lot of CA's when I am awake (large concentration near beginning and end of graphs).
Anybody have any suggestions? The sleep doctor has prescribed in in-lab sleep study to figure out what is going on and possibly look into Bipap but curious if someone else has a different take based on my data.
Thank you

Any event (whether central, OA or hyponea) that gets flagged when we aren't sound asleep simply doesn't count.LLamaSleepPlease wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 4:56 pmhave also noticed that I get a lot of CA's when I am awake (large concentration near beginning and end of graphs).
You MUST be asleep for them to be real and thus matter.
You DON'T have TESCSA.
You do seem to be having a problem with higher pressures causing aerophagia and belly issues which will for sure cause you to be miserable and wake often and those awakenings centrals are probably what you are seeing.
They don't mean anything except you weren't asleep.
