What do I need to know?
This is a whole new world to me.
Don't try to learn everything upfront. If you have issues, it can take some time to learn and solve. Some first things,
1. What is the exact wording on your prescription?
2. The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet or 11 AutoSet is the best machine to start with. Make sure it is an
AutoSet.
3. Assuming you had an in-lab sleep study, did the study summary note any mouth-breathing while asleep? This might be important on the choice of mask.
4. Talk to your health insurance customer service about exactly what your part of the costs you have to pay. DMEs (equipment suppliers) are notorious for misinforming their customers.
5. As additional questions or issues arise, please stick to this one thread. Then, people can see your history easily.
