Why are the pillows in the nasal mask called pillows?

They are called pillows because when the creating manufacturer first created them, they decided to use a term that would market better.

Assume it's because it sounds better than nasal plugs/prongs? Or nasal stabbers?

Cushions actually seem closer to 'pillows' to me, as they tend to be pretty soft. But they can't call everything pillows.
