Is my machine broken?
Was a member here for years…could not remember my user name and password so I am new again! Lately been feeling bad…like my therapy was off. Last night I woke up up choking (not the first time recently). I checked the time….and the machine shows nothing at the time other than when I took it off. AHI registered zero. I tried to test it by holding my breath and usually you can feel the pressure trying to ramp up…nothing just constant baseline pressure. I travel a lot so this machine gets banged around some…is it possible it is broken? How do I check this? It would explain so very much. Attached is the night’s data

Looks like you might have had a dream or ? in the break(s)... why assume it's broken seeing as it continued after the break?

The first break was when I woke up choking. The second was my daughter woke me up because she heard a door slam in the middle of the night. I have been quite ill lately with a lot of symptoms of untreated apnea…My machine makes no changes if I hold my breath and it showed zero events at the time I woke up choking….that is why I was thinking it may have an issue.

Instead of snapping a photo, it would be better to send a screen print.
If you can't do, please they the entire screen into the photo. The information on the left, the top, and the bottom is important.

I will work on that tomorrow..the file was too big to upload. Ill see if i can resize. In the meantime I swapped to my older machine

Please review this thread for examples of how we need the reports to have the graphs formatted optimally.

Lose the calendar on the left. Turn off the pie chart....
both are unneeded but the information below those items can be important.
On the right side graphs....we don't need mask pressure graph but the flow limitation graph might be important.

There is nothing there to suggest you're machine is broken. Why do you think that the machine will flag something.
There are lots of reasons we choke only one of which the machine will flag, and you haven't even zoomed in to show the flow pattern so it could be seen anyway.

I hope I did it right this time. I have many of the symptoms of untreated apnea...waking up choking multiple times as well. My machine travels a lot....and gets banged around...and may have been dropped a few times as well (I am not always present when baggage is unloaded) I have been using my older back up machine for the last 3 days and feel significantly better...the back up also seems to have more pressure at baseline...even though both machines are set up the same (I checked to be sure)

There is still nothing to suggest your machiner isnt working properly.
- It shows eratic breathing at the beginning of sessions (expected)
- It shows increases in pressure when it should (flow limitations, Hypopneas, Obstructive Apneas) (expected)
