What could be going on here? My DreamStation CPAP machine has been waking me up every early morning like 4-5 am with a very noticeable and kind of loud wheezing or sighing noise each time I exhale. It’s definitely coming out of the machine and not the mask or hose.
It’s almost like when it gets to a certain pressure level this starts. I have my ramp setting at 4 for 10 minutes then it adjusts up. I’ll hit the ramp button and it immediately goes away until the pressure hits a certain level again.
I did recently switch to a new mask about 3 weeks ago; a ResMed F30. Had used a ResMed F30i, F20 and Philips DreamWear previously for short times before settling on the F30, but it never happened with them and only started doing it with this current F30 in the past 10-12 days or so. I’ve only been a CPAP user since February 1 this year so this is all new to me.
Any ideas as to what’s going on here? It’s loud enough to wake my wife. Is there something wrong with this CPAP machine? Does it need calibrating or adjusting? It was brand new out of the box on February 1st when I began.

Update: I went into settings for A-Flex (EPR) and dialed it down from 3 to 2 (settings are 0-3) and it seemed to go away. Not sure why it would become an issue only in the past 10-12 days as I set that to 3 in early February after I was finding it a little hard to exhale against the pressure.

My Airsense 10 does that when the seal between the machine and the humidifier tank is compromised. So that's another thing to check. Usually just pushing it in more does the trick.
Edit: It also only does it upon exhale.

Bad connection = noise.
