Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks for all of the info here. I received my CPAP a while back but had issues initially using it. The VA told me to wait until COVID was over to come in and work on it so it's been in the closet for some time. Yesterday I finally got in so last night I got back on the horse. I made it 5 hours. The full mask wore me out a bit so I think I'm going to try the nasal pillows tonight. Last night was the Evora full and I also have the AirFit P10. Hopefully I'll get comfortable soon but honestly I thought I slept pretty well.
If anyone's interested, here's my SleepHQ report: https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_ ... 352ceaf58e
Looking forward to understanding more and sleeping better. Cheers everyone!

Re: New Guy Intro
Congratulations on getting past your medical inertia.
It took me about a week to finally inject insulin, though
most of us here dive into cpap like new clothes or gadgets.
The first masked night is an accomplishment, but by no means the finish line.
Keep on pushing forward.

Re: New Guy Intro
Welcome, and, as chunkyfrog says, onward!
One thing you can do to speed up your adaptation to the new experience is to set up your machine outside your bedroom during the day or evening and use it while you read, watch TV, or use your devices for an hour or two.
Your leak graph is a thing of beauty; I hope the P10 will also work well for you.
You had a fair number of arousals, some of them followed by CAs, which is pretty common. The CAs themselves are not a problem, and the odds are you'll have fewer arousals as you get used to PAP therapy.
There's one small change in your settings you might consider. Your EPR is set to 3, but you don't get the full benefit of it when your pressure is below 7, because the machine can't generate a pressure lower than 4. (EPR drops your pressure when you exhale by the amount you set.) So maybe try raising your minimum to 7.

Thanks for the info and advice! I'll go adjust that setting now. Fingers crossed on the nasal pillows.
