Sleeping advice for elbow ulnar nerve issues

Hey folks,

So I’ve managed to compress both my ulnar nerves in my elbows from over typing on a desk, and the way I sleep with my cpap machine (on my back) is causing my hands to go numb until I wake up (making my hands and elbows feel terrible in the day).

Has anyone had this issue and did you find a way to position yourself or pad your arms to stop the numbness? Thanks in advance for any advice.

See a doctor.
Depending on severity, there are solutions, ranging from PT to surgery.
Only a specialist can address the problem.
I only regret waiting as long as I did,
as G-D Medicare made me wait even longer.

Thanks heaps ChunkyFrog, I suppose I was naive to think I could just sleep in a certain way to minimise it. Will book in to see a physio and doctor

You do not have to sleep on your back for CPAP. In fact, we recommend you do not.
When you lie on your back, the tendency is to fold your hands over your abdomen, and that puts pressure right on your ulnar nerves.
When you sleep on your side, your bottom arm should be out straight in front of you with the back of your hand touching the mattress. Use a pillow to support the top arm, palm down.

Look up "wife pillow" on Amazon, but you need a fluffy pillow to support the top arm, too.
