Did you find anything to resolve swollen tonsils?
as far as is known, the original poster has not been back since 2015.

this is why this is called a "zombie thread".
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

He may have died.
We can only hope he was merely rude.

I was considering not using my CPAP for a night or two
Bad idea. When we are fighting an infection, we need to sleep and breathe more than ever.

Doctor tells me it's either a different strain of strep and I should take the antibiotics or it could be viral and that I should get rest, drink a lot of fluids, and ride it out
Any fever?
No fever.

I've had some issues with acid reflux/GERD, was supposed to have a scope done, but walked out after the 4th person failed to place an IV... still need to reschedule that, because the suspicion is that I may have a hiatal hernia. I'm guessing that might have SOMETHING to do with it, but I recently started getting tonsil stones, as well. Trying to make sure I'm brushing, flossing, and gargling 2x per day, minimum, and keep my equipment clean, but I'm not 100% consistent.

Things really did feel better when I fell asleep without my CPAP on a few days in a row. Some nights I end up propping myself up on a pile of pillows to help with the reflux at night, but it has been bothering me neck/back. Working on finding an adjustable base for the bed. Hopefully that helps, too.

reflux at night
Are you aware that untreated OSA is a common cause of reflux? During the struggle to breathe, stomach contents may be expelled into the esophagus or even into the mouth in the worst cases.

Had untreated OSA for 15+ years, no reflux. Did not experience reflux until about 8+ months of CPAP therapy. I believe it is more likely related to weight gain and hiatal hernia, which I may find out when I reschedule my endoscopy.
