If it works, that might be a very good solution ?

Experience in this simple silicone product to replace the tape on the mouth ?
Re: Experience in this simple silicone product to replace the tape on the mouth ?
No. I do not have any experience with this product. However if your jaw drops during your sleep, your mouth will open either slightly or a lot. In either case your teeth no longer will be holding the device in place and it will fail to solve the problem. I would love to get rid of the tape so I always check out new ideas. I need a chinstrap to keep my mouth closed and found a good one.

Re: Experience in this simple silicone product to replace the tape on the mouth ?
The chinstrap I use is made by a small business on the west coast by the engineer who designed it. I have been using them close to 10 years with success. They have three styles. The only difference between them is the material used. The designer has a video right on his website about why the strap works well. They can be found at cpap stores or Amazon, but I order them directly from their own website. That way they get all the profit and don’t have to split it with a middle man! They are friendly and I have chatted with the designer a number of times. I think they are redoing their website, but this link should work. You can run a search by putting in dual band chin strap too.
Note: if you try one be careful to use cold water. Knightsbridge uses natural fabrics so the fleece padding and/or cotton can shrink. Rinse well, wring out gently, roll in a towel to get out excess water, then hang to dry. No dryer! There’s a bit of a learning curve about how tight to make it till you get it “just right”. Good luck!

as i have more money than skills i've put in an order. i use a firm foam cervical collar, so i don't have to worry about jaw dropping.Albatros wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 3:46 amIf it works, that might be a very good solution ?

I will try it as a substitute for a tape.
