Does the ResMed Airsense10 Have an Off & On for the Heated House and Humidity?.

Post by Viraj3474 » Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:29 am

Does the Airsense10 have an option to run the heated hose off and humidity off? Our electrical power will be off for two days coming up next week. Want to run the Airsense10 using as little electricity as possible for a power station we ordered last night. The power station has about 300 watt hours.

Also, will I sleep alright without the hose heat and humidity at zero? I’m asking just to be prepared for a different climate sleep experience. Lastly, I’m assuming the tub needs to be put into the device, without water. Thanks much for your help. :D

Actually you can turn off the power to the water chamber and heated hose easily. You just go in and set the controls to manual for heated hose and humidity and turn them off...down to 0...that turns them off.
And you can still use water in the water chamber if you wish. You won't get a lot of added moisture but you will get some.
It's called passover humidity.

Power Backup for Airsense 10?

May I ask what power station you found that works with the A10? We had an unexpected power outage overnight this week. I usually can't even get to sleep without CPAP, but I did manage to get a few hours of sleep and had the most miserable day after that.

Any other suggestions for a power backup for the A10 would be appreciated.
Started CPAP 12/09. Currently use (since 2015) AirSense 10 AutoSet FOR HER.APAP Range: 11-20, AirFit P10 mask. Started home oxygen at 2L on 8/7/20.
Previously (2010 to 2015) APAP, Pressure 10-16. PR System One.. Was Maryland CPAPer 12/09 to 4/20.

I did not go back to this board after Pugsy replied to my question, so my apologies. It’s only been four years since you asked your question! 🙃. and I am wondering if you ever found a power supply for your cpap machine. At the time I wrote this, my husband had built his own small power supply for about $100. He watched videos on YouTube on how to do it. It ran my machine with heat on for six hours, but needed to be recharged the next day. That wasn’t good, however he enjoyed building it.

He then did tons of research on the internet. He came to the conclusion that it would be better to find a reputable manufacturer of a power supply and purchase that. He watched YouTube video reviews on best power supplies. The upshot of it all is that a small power supply which can be recharged by a small portable solar panel is the best power source for the cpap machine. One of the top small power supplies is the Ecoflow River 2 Pro which we bought. It has an 800 watt output. It can virtually run anything in the house except for the microwave and toaster oven which draws LOTS of electric. It will run a refrigerator which draws surprisingly little. Problem is the cost. The one we purchased cost us $600 and a solar panel another $200. But it’s worth it to sleep. The power supply can run almost anything else as well. Sales are run often and are paired with solar portable solar panels that you can place outside to charge in the sun. Amazon is now running a sale on this same power supply at $150 off.

Again. My utmost apologies for this late reply. And what a beautiful cat! The markings are awesome.
