Tongue tied doesn't help much in forums.... on the other hand, finger tied may work. But I'm highly against it, because then all those wonderful ideas may blow your own mind, and none the wiser - a pity since we do get wiser on forums -- sometimes.

Ask a tech if ya wanna know about how to set up sleep tests. Ask a doc--or even better, an RRT--if ya wanna know about breathing in general. Exactly.
Back in the olden days, your best info about your sleep came from a sleep lab with techs and their equipment. And all they had was data for one night, in a strange enviroment, with wires and stuff all over a persons body. There used to be no data-recording CPAP's, and no software for us CPAP needers.
Nowadays nobody knows more about sleeping night in night out with a CPAP than a person who had learned how to do it, and is doing it successfully.

Nothing was taken out of context. As I said, the Reddit "sleep tech" was only concerned about mouth inhaling. They were clueless about mouth leak and contradicted the person who explained it.

OK even if you had the SFI what you're talking about why didn't you challenge him there instead of of whining about it here?

Some online-posting techs think treatment machines work in much the same way that the tech himself does: punching in random pressures all night while waiting for the overnight guests to hit supine REM, in between checking his Facebook page and watching cat videos on YouTube all night.
