Air Curve

Post by Tonyst » Fri Feb 09, 2024 12:09 pm

Why is it that companies like Apple and Samsung, etc can release a new phone on a yearly basis but yet something as important as a CPAP machine gets updated on a 10 year cycle?
And why isn’t the Fisher and Paykel Sleepstyle Auto readily available?

Product upgrades follow the motivation for upgrades.
Phones are frequently upgraded to increase sales, and use social pressure for that.
They can get away with nearly infinite crap.
Medical equipment generally follows life of the unit and available tech.
They also are restricted by insurance bean counters and the government circus.
