Howdy folks,
With a new OSCAR release coming out soon, Crimson Nape (a.k.a. "Red", the acting Project Manager for OSCAR) has asked me to post the following request for beta testers:
Crimson Nape wrote:It has been almost 2 years since a request has been made, I'm placing a new request.
The OSCAR Team is looking for volunteers to test pre-release versions of OSCAR. These releases are separate from your current release and data.
Testing is totally voluntary.
Qualifications needed:
- Working knowledge on the use of your operating system. You don't need to be an expert, just the ability to easily navigate your system, easily copy or paste and maybe use a command line.
- An understanding of OSCAR's operation.
- The desire to poke around OSCAR, trying various features and options. Basically, see if you can break it.
- The ability to describe any problems with detail. (No, "x" doesn't work.)
Here is further information about being a Beta tester:
https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.p ... _Beta_Test
Reporting Requirements:
- Your operating system (iMac, Linux, Windows, or other).
- The location of your data file, if different from OSCAR's default.
- Steps to produce the error.
- Frequency of the problem - If you can reproduce it or not.
- The results you receive when the error occurs.
If you are interested and wish to help in testing OSCAR, please PM 'Crimson Nape' on Apnea Board. Please include your PC's Operating System, so I can start to get an idea of our demographics. Also, if you can code in C++ and wish to contribute to OSCAR's development, please let me know. We are always looking for more help.
Thanks!

I am going to make this a "sticky" and leave it up until they have enough beta testers.
I don't have the time or energy myself....but I know a lot of you guys/gals like to play with stuff like that.
For me it's just way too much work and I have enough on my plate right now as it is.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
If you want to try the Eclipse mask and want a special promo code to get a little off the price...send me a private message.

Thanks Pugsy!
We now have a beta release (
OSCAR 1.5.2-beta-1) so the need for testing has come. We're still in need of more beta testers, so if anyone is interested, send a PM to 'Crimson Nape" on Apnea Board if you can help out.
Thanks folks.

OSCAR-1.5.2-beta-2 is now available for testing in the Beta Testers forum on Apnea Board.
Send a PM to 'Crimson Nape" on Apnea Board if you'd like to be a Beta Tester.

As an update, I have noticed that I've received several requests to join the Beta Tester Group, but the person requesting this admittance hasn't logged on to the Apnea Board in quite some time. I can only assume the request was generated from here. Please be advised that I only respond with a PM containing all the information on the Apnea Board. If you have requested to join, please check your AB member account PM section.
Thanks!
