Ear pain

Hi all, new user here. Last night I was awoken by severe pain in my right ear. Not like an earache but pain in the ear itself (outside edge and lobe) I use a Remstar machine with ResMed Mirage Swift II Mask with nostril attachment. My question is could the rear strap or buckle block blood flow? I've used this setup for years and have never experienced this before. As soon a I took it off the pain went away. I hope I wasn't dreaming this. Hahaha Has anyone ever experienced this effect? Thank you for reading, KN
