Morning congestion

Post by BartimusMaximus » Sun Aug 27, 2023 9:24 am

I can go to bed with clear nasal passages but wake up fully congested. Any ideas why?
I use a Resmed Airsense 10 with a nasal cushion.
Thanks

Are you using humidity when you really don't need to because the ambient (room/locale) hum. is already enough?

What mask are you using?

What humidity setting?

Humidity and the air temperature may play a role.
Whether too much of either or too little is a very individual issue.
Some need more humidity and more heat than the machine's default others do far better with less than the default.
It's trial and error.
You get to control the temperature separately from the humidity if you have a heated hose connected to the machine.

I take a 10 mg loratadine tablet at bedtime.
Apparently, I am allergic to "something"--maybe a lot of things.
If I sneeze too much in the morning, I blow my nose, which usually removes the problem.
