Good morning,
I just started using a ResMed 11 and was able to use the mask I tried and took home from the sleep study.
I noticed that the diffuser filter on the medium nose pillow did not have a filter pad inside like the one I could have purchased.
Do I actually need one? It seems to work well without it and then I don't have to worry about getting any black dots on the filter media as others seem to have.
Thanks for any feedback!
Do I need a diffuser filter in a P30i nasal mask?

The part is optional.
It helps make the operation quieter.
If you don't need it, don't buy it.

I removed mine a few months ago. Seems to be OK.

Still searching for the "right" mask.

Thanks for all your answers.
I'm fine without using it- one less part to maintain.
