Back up battery for CPAP

Post by rbstirling » Thu Aug 10, 2023 11:11 am

I live in hurricane country in Florida. I wonder if any CPAP users in Florida purchase a backup battery for their CPAP to be used during power outages

I have generator but don't usually use it at night, so need some type of backup for my Resmed 11

Appreciate any information you can share

Yes. I live in an apartment building and use battery backup when hurricanes knock out the power. We do have a building generator but it doesn't run any electricity in our apartments. I recharge my backup during the day from the generator outlet

I also use oxygen so I have tanks to hook up to my ivaps machine during power outages.

There are various types of back-ups used routinely here, often for camping etc, so if you put 'batteries' in the forum search bar you should get lots of info.
