Help - New to ASV, waking up, seeking advice

Post by sms832 » Tue Aug 08, 2023 3:03 pm

Hello,

I've been an insomniac most of my life, often waking in the middle of the night and I can't fall back asleep. I had a miserable sleep study that got me on CPAP but it never resolved the problems. Years later I went back in and they saw many Central Apneas, went back for an ASV titration and now I have the machine.

My first night on ASV was amazing but I was extremely sleep deprived that night. I haven't had the same luck since. Can you guys see anything in the data that might help me? I don't know if I'm getting woken by ASV intervention (or an event) and I don't know it. Do my pressures really need to be this high?

40 years old, 165 lb. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've attached some info from my titration study, along with my first great night on ASV and a few captures from days where you can see the awakenings.

welcome to the zoo!

you may think you've attached files, but alas the attachment feature doesn't work as it should.

pls see the follow re: attaching files-

it's a good idea to hit the preview button before submitting to see if it has "taken".

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Thanks! OK lets see if this works.

My main problem is early awakening and very hard to get back to bed, so overall I'm not getting nearly enough sleep. I would wake up with headaches and body aches, and occasionally with my heart pounding - perhaps all because of O2 desaturation. So I'm hopeful the ASV is the right track.

Sleep study results. I took 3mg Lunesta so I could sleep for this test.

GREAT first night on ASV:

Typical nights now, similar to before treatment :(
