I just read that the NCAA had for decades a rule that forbade BB players from wearing jerseys with the numerals 6, 7, 8 or 9. Why was this?

Here is the answer - https://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/31/spor ... -hand.html

The rule has now been lifted.

I'm pretty broken. It was completely unexpected. He just went to sleep and never woke up. I am thankful he didn't suffer.
Devastating! Sobering!

Thanks for sharing that.

I am sure you have some great memories to treasure and focus on, once you have processed the shock of it.

We all have different belief systems to help us through, of course. And I'm certainly not here to change anyone else's. But for whatever it is or isn't worth, I personally have found some of the practical suggestions in this publication to be of great help to me in dealing with some sudden grief that occurred in my life: https://www.jw.org/en/library/books/when-someone-dies/

Thank you for your continued participation here. And may those closest to you be there for you. Make sure they are!

Please consider yourself hugged.
Thank you.

I have 37 years of memories...we met when I was 19 and got married when I was 20, too young to legally drink. I hope some day I can enjoy those memories without falling apart. Right now all I can do is hang on and hope that one day I can breath again.

Our kids have been amazing. Our daughter and soon to be son-in-law live here with us. I don't think I could have survived this without them. Our other daughter and son-in-law in Vegas were here but had to go back to work. I am going there this weekend to spend some time with them. My sister-in-law has been texting me daily. Family, friends and co-workers are my strength right now. Its amazing to see the number of people who have reached out and to know how loved he was.

Right now, that is enough. In fact, plenty.
