My ahi's have been creeping up

Post by Marcusstephen » Tue May 16, 2023 1:36 am

Hi All,
Just wondering if someone could have a quick squiz at my results of late
and tell me what could be causing my ahi's to be creeping up.
Thank you

How's your sleep quality?
A sizable chunk of those flagged events appear to be SWJ or sleep/wake/junk to my eye.

Hi Pugsy
you and I had a conversation recently about our “pain and suffering “ 😊 as a consequence of aging bodies specifically, back , hip and shoulders. My quality of sleep is very impacted by pain and staying in one position for too long. My AHI’s have been slowly creeping up but i was wondering if “flow limitations” or something on the chart was indicating some other problem .
Your identification of swj’s is reassuring

What I see in the chart is a minimum that is letting some snoring and some flow limitations occur.
Then the pressure goes up, you breathing gets better, the pressure drops - and, sure enough, you have flow limitation and snoring again.
Did you always have that?

If not, I'd start looking for slightly higher minimum pressure.

Hi Ozij
It’s been getting worse as i’ve progressed in age, and become more sedentary.
I’ve dropped the minimum a bit because i found the mask pressure a bit high requiring tighter tension on the straps.
I guess the only option is to increase minimum pressure
or get fitter and drop off some kilos . Thank you for your input 🙏
