The opinion of people of experience on my Oscar of the night?

Post by Albatros » Sat Mar 04, 2023 4:08 am

I would appreciate your opinion.

Night felt as rather correct.

Apparently two clusters:
-one around 1:20, duration 20 min.
-one around 4h54, duration 25 mn.

I had put a cellular collar.
FFM. Mouth taped.

Anything to adjust ?

Great thanks

*cervical

Which positions do you sleep in? It would be good to understand the high pressures as a result of rolling from you sides or stomach to your back. Higher pressures are commonly required when back-sleeping.

At the end of today, subjectively rate how you felt during the day? Any excess sleepiness? Energy level? Mental and emotional state?

I am not sure I understand your point, about high pressures.

I fall asleep on my stomach. But how long does it last? It seems to me that I alternate phases on my side and on my back.
I will try to evaluate better.

How do I feel during the day? Not bad.

My real concern is a permanent pain in my feet (burns) due to lesioned nerves (neuropathy), which happened to me 5 years ago.

Your median pressure is 13. There are times when your pressure is 16 to 18. I suspect those times of higher pressure are when you sleep on your back.

Ok
Is your point that I should check If I sleep on the back. And if yes, try to avoid it ?

It can be very difficult to avoid back-sleeping. If the pressures of 16-18 are not uncomfortable and don't wake you, I wouldn't worry about it. You might start the night avoiding back-sleeping and get off your back anytime you wake up during the night.

If you continue to have a low AHI and are alert and energetic during the day, that's the goal!

Maybe in a week, post a follow-up in this thread.

I looked back at an earlier thread. You're doing better with the revised pressure settings, and your AHI is what I would call good. The zoomed-in views show some irregular breathing suggesting that at least some of the time during those intervals you were awake. If you were, then event markers are irrelevant as far as telling you what your breathing during sleep is like.

Your pressures go up and down in response to your flow limitations as well as your events. In an earlier thread, there was some discussion of whether you might want to try some EPR to see whether that helped with the FLs, and if it did, whether that helped you sleep more soundly (and, possibly, head off some obstructive events). That is still an experiment worth trying, I think. You could start with EPR of 1, raising your minimum pressure by 1 to compensate.

If your *min* pressure was 13, you'd probably have less pressure increases, and a little better results, that said, 1.5 is good.
