Help! I've tried everything I can think of.

Post by tj1616 » Thu Feb 09, 2023 7:13 am

After 22 successful years of CPAP use, I have been waking with horrible dry mouth. I have tried mouth tape, a chin strap, and 3 different full face masks. I sleep on my side and have tried different pillows, thinking the side of the mask against the pillow is pushing the mask out of place. I use a small frame and seem to be between a small and medium cushion. I wake up with air escaping and making pfffft sounds. I have tried tightening the straps in various configurations, but nothing is helping. I am exhausted from such poor sleep. I'm 71 and am thinking that with aging, something in my facial structure is changing. The seal starts out fine, but as the night goes on, something is changing. My skin is smooth, so it's not a problem with deep wrinkles. What have I missed?? I have spoken with my local home health supplier as well as one of the online providers. I've paid for the 3 masks, as Medicare only covered my pre-dry mouth mask and I'm not due for them to pay for new parts for another few months. At least the 30 day guarantee has provided refunds. Thanks for your help.
