Checking in (and having problems with the forum, but not the BiPAP)

Post by robysue1 » Sun Sep 18, 2022 3:50 pm

Folks,

While this looks like Post #1, I used to be extremely active on this forum as robysue (aka The Insomnia Queen). Robysue's message count is up to 7520

But for some reason, when I tried to login today and could not remember the dang password, cpaptalk.com does not recognize my username/email combination, and so it will not send me an email link to reset the password.

Now, here's the real problem: When I first started CPAPing 12 years ago this upcoming Friday, I may have been using an email account on a machine that has not existed for the last 5 or 6 years. So even if I gave that very old email address to the software for recovering an account/resetting a password, the email would go out there to the great non-existent email box in the ether and I'd still not be able to reset the password and go back to using robysue as my login around here for those periodical, but not very often checkins that I still am interested in doing once in a blue moon.

So if there's a way for the admin folks to somehow let me back into my old robysue account, I'd love to not have to deal with this new one.

If not, then I'll just have to start over as robysue1.

I'll post some kind of real update sometime in the next few days, certainly by or on my 12 anniversary night.

Well hello stranger. Good to see you alive and kicking still yet.

Carolyn is the only one that can fix your problem. I don't have access to that area of the accounts.
Send her a PM and explain the situation. Don't be surprised if it takes a while to get a response...she is spending more and more time away.

Nice to see you back! I'd been worried about not seeing you posting for a long time, hopefully Carolyn can get you all fixed up on your other account.

I will check with Carolyn when I get a chance to ask about trying to recover my ability to use my old, original account.
