Dreamstation recall when I bought machine from fb

Post by Pankajch82 » Sun Jul 31, 2022 12:27 pm

I had bought my dream station from fb so no dme or insurance was used. Prescription is also from out of country doctor.

I am not sure what my options are to get a replacement.
Any one has any suggestions? ( don’t want to do sleep study and get a new prescription as I don’t have good insurance)
Can I fill Phillips recall form and register my machine for replacement ?

Cpap.com for new machines; secondwindcpap.com for lightly used or out of box new.
Both require a prescription, but many medical professionals can write a new rx,
based on a copy of the previous foreign rx--look for medical facilities that serve the financially disadvantaged.

I am in the same boat. I submitted the form for the dreamstation recall and was told I will get a replacement but will be at the end of the list. Went and bought a backup Resmed machine from another source on this forum. LSAT frequently has great deals on slightly used machines, keep an eye out.

You will never know until you fill out the recall form.
btw - also get a copy of your last sleep study and equipment order from where ever you had the study done if you can. Hopefully you know what your pressure settings are?
