DreamStation 2 Stupid Question

Post by Chooch123 » Wed Jun 01, 2022 11:43 pm

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I scoured the internet and couldn’t find anything.

I woke up this morning to my Ramp+ stuck on 5 (I normally just take the top screen and it goes back to my default a 4)

I didn’t really question it. Now my dreamstation 2 will go up to different levels IE 5,6,7 but it appears the slightest movement reverts back down to a 5 so I can’t sleep.

I did a factory reset and can’t find the setting or maybe my machine is broken? Totally confused

I'm having trouble understanding what your describing.

Ramp is used at the beginning of a session, not when you you wake up in the morning.

Are you using Ramp to describe minimum pressure? Is 5 too much pressure, or not enough pressure, for you to be comfortable?

Do you use OSCAR (Beta), which now supports the DS 2? If not OSCAR 1.4 is about to be publicly released, this way you can post graphs, so we can see you machine settings and behaviour.

Is the ring that encircles the number 'solid' or 'dotted' when you observe this? If solid that is your therapy pressure which likely may change over the course of usage. The dotted circle is the set value for the 'Ramp Plus' pressure.

It’s solid when I wake up. Before the other day, I could tap the screen whenever I woke up thruought the night and go back to the original Ramp+.

Now, I wake up look over and it goes back down to ramp automatically

The ramp will re-engage if you shut the power off to go to the toilet (or for any other reason). The same will happen if it is shut off by an automatic action. It can also happen if the power flickers.

The ramp on this machine can be disabled (or set to zero). I did this when I first got the machine (I despise the ramp feature anyhow).

Likewise, you can disable auto-off separately from auto-on on this machine. That way, the machine won't power down if remove the mask. You'll have to turn the machine off manually in the morning.
