Ice in humidifer?

Post by ronragus » Wed Jun 01, 2022 10:55 am

I want to try an experiment to get cooler air. So there seems to be few posts about putting distilled ice blocks into the water chamber and turn the humidifier off completely. In that case, should I still keep my tube temp at 30C in order to avoid rainouts? I noticed I am starting to sweat at night at my current humidity setting (humidity set to 5, tube temp at 30C, 2 layers of hose cover)...

The photo was an example from a facebook member....

I would turn the hose air temp way down or even off with your proposed idea.
I doubt with the humidifier off that you will be getting enough pass over moisture to have a problem with rain out.
Plus the warmth in the heated hose air likely contributes to the overall problem with the air seeming too warm.
