cpap device recall

Post by geomar2 » Tue Apr 12, 2022 12:34 pm

My husband, George W. Black is 80 years old with quite a few disabilities and health issues. I called in January of this year and again in March and again on the 11 of April to find out when he would be getting his new cpap. They didn't give me any answers. The letter they sent was this was an urgent medical device recall. Apparently this device is not safe and I need to know why he hasn't gotten his yet. If they are making thousands weekly then I am wondering why he hasn't received one of them. Please let me know for I don't want him to be using an unsafe device.

Sad to say but there are probably a couple of MILLION more people waiting to get replacements. It appears to be luck of the draw on who get what and when. I do not think anyone (including Philips) have a good answer for you and others like you including me.

Mary, just a tip if you don't use the internet a lot - it's not always a good idea to give full names (or addresses, phone #'s, ages, bank acct. #'s, etc. etc. etc.). Too many out there just looking for personal data to use in scams.

According to gurgle, there are 237,409 couples in the US named Mary and George Black. I think Mary is safe.

Good point.
My DH (husband, bullfrog, etc.) is Ukrainian, so my last name is withheld
from any public or online use.

I found two George Winslow Blacks, one George Wilbur Black, one George Wilber Black, and one George Wiley Black. There are all in their nineties. I think Mary Black is playing us.
