Hi all,
Just recently did my first CPAP sleep last night. I woke up a few times trying to get used to it. The main concern is when I sleep, I have that feel of grasping for air and I would breathe hard then go back to normal after a few breathes after trying to relax.
I also feel a slight numbness on my left leg when I woke up.
Another question my cpap Medreason 11 isnt updating the stats on my application (it said last updated last night at 10pm). When does it update? Because it said I slept for 0.1 hours and on the machine itself said 6:50 hours slept.

Re: New to CPAP
Unless you ordered from the planet Zorknphoor, that is not the name of your machine.
Assuming you are referring to MyAir, that server is down from time to time - even days at a time. I suggest you take a quick look at the daily report on the machine display as soon as you arise each morning. Look at last night's Events, Leak Level, 95% Pressure and hours used. Youtube has instructions on how to see this by accessing the Clinician's menu on the machine's display.
Let us know your statistics as mentioned about and also your machine settings including Ramp and EPR. "Gasping for air" can be a symptom of the minimum pressure or ramp being set improperly.
Re: New to CPAP
Look at the front of the machine and see what's actually printed on it,
If it says what you think it says, please attach a photo so we can learn of a new machine.
Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

It finally synced today with my data, glad to see my AHI dropped from 105 events per hour to 10 events per hour.
Also the mask I am using is the Fisher & Paykel Simplus Medium (buying a large one, I think it will be a better size from using the medium)
How do I post my stats from MyAir Stats?

Re: New to CPAP
MyAir is rarely helpful for experienced users trying to help someone with their CPAP therapy. OSCAR is the tool for that. There is a thread near the top of the index page for help.
I would at least like to know your machine settings right away. Youtube explains how to go into the machine's Clinicians menu on the machine display. You can check the machine settings there.

Oh thank you so much for that information ChicagoGranny. I will look into it and get back to you on that.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 1:56 pmMyAir is rarely helpful for experienced users trying to help someone with their CPAP therapy.
