You don't have to.

OSCAR is like Santa Claus. He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows if you've been compliant or not ....

Oh yeah, he knows which machine you've been using too!

I was asking about the device that displays on Oscar. I changed from a Dreamstation to an Airsense 11 will it identify the new data on the sd card?

Yes. OSCAR will.

Best to reformat your SD card if reusing the old SD card.

You might also want to create a new profile so that data/settings doesn't get mixed.

A new profile means clean slate with less chance of confusing OSCAR.

You should use a new, or reformatted, SD card for the new machine. Do create a new profile for your AirSense 11 - Philips and ResMed report slightly different information and it can be confusing to mix those two different machines in one profile.

What I meant is that OSCAR will know. It's recorded on the card and OSCAR will pull it from there.

Yep. When I got my new ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset For Her, Oscar had no problem picking up on that immediately. I didn't have to do anything. I used a new SD card in the new machine and had no problems.

I used the card from my DS1 in my DS2. I'm running release 1.3.5-alpha.0+7d1d1fae.

OSCAR is correctly identifying the new machine, despite that there is older data on the card as well.
