Hi,
I’ve been using a Resmed P30i for the past few weeks. (Pillows)
All has been great from a comfort and noise point of view.
But, after a review of my data with a sleep tech, they have advised I Change my settings by moving from APAP (8-10.5) to CPAP (11).
I’ve done this but I’ve found that the noise from my Airsense 10 is problematic. Kind of a constant mid-pitch droning noise that gets slightly worse on inhalation.
I’m wondering if any other users have experienced this or whether I have a faulty mask/machine.
I’m partly thinking it’s the top of head fitting, and down the cheek tubing, that is amplifying the machine noise.
I’m wondering if I need a different mask at these settings?
Many thanks.
Paul.
Noisy P30i at higher pressures
Re: Noisy P30i at higher pressures
i use the p10 pillow mask. my minimum pressure is 18.4 and max is 20. i have no problem at that pressure.
why did your doctor want to change to cpap from than apap?

Re: Noisy P30i at higher pressures
I noticed the sound as well from the tubing that runs from the top connection. It’s just the price to be paid with that kind of mask as it was the same on others I’ve tried. To some it is more noticeable than others. You can try other similar masks, but it is likely the sound would be the same.
