Several new models of nasal masks are now available.
In the nasal pillow system ResMed took their Swift FX and improved on it with the AirFit P10 nasal pillow mask.
There are also some new under the nose cradle type of masks which a lot of people like.
Frames/headgear are now available so that the hose attaches at the top of the head instead of at the nose. This is something a lot of people really like as well.
Also take a look at the Bleep mask that I use...link in my signature line...no headgear at all.

Now for the new nasal masks...either the under the nose cradle type or the traditional over the nose.

Note that the N30i cradle mask is interchangeable with the P30i headgear/frame.
Meaning all you have to do is get the cushion part and swap with pillow part to try a different mask. No need to buy an entire mask.

and the N30 is compatible with the P10 frame and headgear but is a cradle cushion instead of pillows.

So more options and some are interchangeable which makes for trying something new a bit less expensive.
Your final results will of course depend on your own personal needs or wants and there is no guarantee that your needs match anyone elses. One person's treasure is another person's trash when it comes to masks.
You just have to try a mask to know if you are going to like it or not.
I usually just tell people that if a mask looks interesting to them then that is reason enough to try it.
That's what I do...now sometimes I end up hating it but sometimes I find that there are things about it that I really like so it helps me in future mask experiments.
One advantage to the P10 nasal pillow mask....essentially silent venting and with the diffused venting system a person has to put their hand about an inch from the vent holes to even feel the venting. Huge improvement IMHO and spouses usually really like it because they no longer get cold streams of air in their face or on their backs. I know my husband was really happy when I went to the P10 years ago from the Swift FX.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
