New Product- Healthy Hose

Where does the bacteria come from? Only moist filtered room air goes through the hose. Clean water/clean air.

Some things are made to be sold, not to be bought. Think about it for a second.

I don't have any opinion of this product, I'm not pushing it, nor do I know anything more about it than anyone who watches it. I merely posted it as a news item with a title to what it is about. As far as bacteria growing in the hose, I certainly don't freak out about it. I wash out the hose with soapy water, but on a highly irregular basis. If you believe that because of that filter( that was probably made in China, mine were made in Tiajuana), you're breathing purified air, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you. I have allergies, and if that filter actually did what you imply, I'd be allergy free. Here's a quote from Sleep Health, "CPAP equipment manufacturers recommend regular cleanings. They advise washing out the mask, tubing and CPAP humidifier chamber at least once a week." I would have to up my game to reach that goal, and probably you too. So, while I don't reach those lofty goals, I would not dismiss as far fetched the proposition that bacteria could grow in a warm, moist environment. So maybe this product does have a place in the market for both convenience and health. That would be up to each of us to decide. Besides, it's made in America and that alone rates consideration for me.

Much manufacturer recommendations are not for the benefit of the machine,
but for the sellers of replacement parts.
I discovered early on that daily cleaning inflicted undue wear and tear on masks.
And the following should raise red flags:
Manmade anti-microbial surfaces are designed to elute toxins that affect microbes.
Some of those toxins may be irritating or even toxic when injected into airways.
I would avoid any such product.
