New machine advice

Post by Timrobbo » Wed Jul 21, 2021 3:24 pm

Hi all I have been using a

Phillips Respironics. REMstar Pro C-flex+
Standard operating system software
Fisher and Paykel brevida mask
Prescribed pressure 10cm

Ive been using this for about 2 years with great support in the beginning from those in these forums which helped me immensely when I was having all the common teething problems. You guys showed me how to use sleepyhead software, have a bit of control in the process and feel a bit less helpless and hopeless with my cpap journey

Due to the recent product recall issues I am in the market for a new machine and just wondering where to start I live in Australia and there is a store in Ballina which is not far from me.

I have recently been noticing a little bit of shortness of breath and sinus problems which I am thinking maybe due to the issues with foam and so urgently need to replace that machine.

I am wondering if you guys Could make some suggestions Or pointers towards reputable brands Or possibly whether I should I just be looking online and which websites may be good Value and service

Thank you I look forward to your feedback

Tim

Look for a ResMed AirSense 10 model
either the Elite which is a fixed pressure machine like your old Pro Respironics machine or the AutoSet which is what I suggest because it has 2 modes of operation..the fixed cpap mode like you are using and a second auto adjusting mode (2 machines in one). Sometimes that extra mode comes in handy.

Online...try secondwindcpap.com. The will sell and ship internationally. A lot of the other online sellers like cpap.com can't ship ResMed products internationally but secondwindcpap.com can.

good job!

please let us know if you have any difficulties with the new machine. i've used both reperonics and resmed. there is a slight difference in the two and either you get used to it quickly or not.

good luck!
