Changing machines with Oscar

Post by ILoveFlowers » Tue Jun 22, 2021 11:04 pm

Any Oscar experts who can help me out? I'm having trouble importing data from my new Resmed machine into my existing profile. I get 'Failed to parse Identification.tgt' error. Is this because my previous data is Respironics? Is it a problem with the SD card? Do I have to start a new profile? Or is something else going on?

PS I'm using Windows 10 64bit.

It's not OSCAR. OSCAR doesn't care about the machines. I have at last count probably 6 different machines under one profile.
You might try creating a new profile and see if that fixes the problem but I have my doubts.
Something else must be going on.

The new machine might be a DS2, renamed by me to BST. (bedside turd)
Our collective condolences, if this is the case.

From your aerophagia thread, the problem appears to be your SD card.

the SD card is too big? 64G was the smallest they had at Walmart. I can view the card in Windows explorer and see there is data on it, but it won't import.
BlueDragon has the solution.

If I recall correctly, a ResMed machine will simply ignore a 64 GB card and write no data to the card.

The easiest solution is to delete the 64GB partition on the SD card, create a new 31GB partition, and format the partition as FAT-32. On Windows, you can do that from Disk Management.

Sure, you are giving up half the space on the card but it is never going to be used anyway on a CPAP machine. Even a 4GB card will hold years of data.
