How to Tolerate Dream Wisp? Please help.
How to Tolerate Dream Wisp? Please help.
I've been trying CPAP therapy for 8 months and have not yet found a mask that I can consistently tolerate. I've used the 30i with pillows and cushions, and have problems with stuffy nose and/or simply discomfort. I go through a terrible cycle of not getting enough sleep (throwing the device off at night) until after a few days, I am so exhausted that I have one good night's sleep. And then back to not tolerating. My dr recommended the dream wisp as something that might help the nasal congestion issue, but when I put it on, there is SO much pressure when I breath out compared to the regular nasal cushion and even the pillow, it feels like I am suffocating. I have played with the pressure relief setting and that does not change anything. How does anyone tolerate the dream wisp? It seems so awful that it makes me wonder if I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Sharris,
I have had similar problems with nasal congestion congestion. I use Nasopure as recommended by my sleep doc and it is inexpensive and really helps clear your sinuses. It costs $13 on Amazon and it will help clear your head. You can check Amazon or search Nasopure on youtube if you are interested Lots of videos about it. Here's on link to a video review of it, there are many more.

I use the Dreamware FF mask and haven't had any problems with it.

Finding a mask is the hardest part of CPAP therapy for a lot of people. I was going through masks constantly until the Bleep came out. I think it's great.
Masks are highly individual, but I have to say the Wisp was the ONLY one I tried that I could not even make it through the night on. I LOATHED it and finally gave up after a couple of hours. But that was the regular Wisp and as I said, mask fit and tolerance varies by individual.
Good luck!
