Leaky Tap Pap

Post by LongIslandToom » Mon May 31, 2021 7:46 am

I have given up using a nasal mask because it was pressing my nose shut and making it difficult to breath, so I am trying the TAP PAP. I'm using a ResMed AirSense 10 auto machine and have set it to nasal pillows. Regardless of the size pillows that I use, the AirSense machine's mask seal test shows "adjust." It occasionally flickers green, but just for a second. I also tried turning the pillows in 15% increments and pushing the mask/pillows against my nose with no success. When I feel the seal around the pillows and my nose, I don't feel any leakage, so I'm wondering if my AirSense machine is giving me a bogus reading regarding the mask seal. Any advice would be appreciated.

Check to make sure you don't have a hole in the short hose or even long hose and that all connections are secure.

While sometimes ResMed machines have been known to have a problem with a mask....it's extremely rare and usually related to facial hair or something like that.

I have used the TapPap with a ResMed machine...no problems but it was the S9 model and not the AirSense model.
I don't see it being a machine problem IMHO.
