First Night Issue

Post by ticchioj@gmail.com » Wed May 05, 2021 8:52 am

Hi guys! Nice to meet you -

So, yeah. It was my first night, and I kept waking up throughout the night, it sucked. I am pretty sure I have the tubing correct and the setting correct. I am using a Wisp mask and Res Med Air Sense 10 auto set unit... I am not in front of it at the moment, wondering if anyone can help me with my settings. OH one more thing, it came with an elbow piece and I cannot figure out what to do with it, if anything. It appears that I have the tubing hooked up correctly. I appreciate you help and am glad to be here! : )

Elbow goes between machine and hose.

Heated hose has the elbow built in to the hose.
Non heated hose doesn't have the elbow and using the elbow allows for the hose to rotate if it needs to and not tug on the machine so much.

Welcome! People here would be happy to help you with your settings. Do you have a laptop or desktop computer? An SD card in your machine? And a way to read the SD card? Then download the Oscar software (see below) and post a screenshot of a daily chart.

To speed up your adaptation to this new experience, you might try setting the machine up during the day or evening, outside your bedroom, someplace where you can read or watch TV comfortably. Use it for an hour or two each day for maybe a week. This can really help!
Oscar software is available at https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/

Should all resmed machines come with an elbow adapter if they came with a standard hose? I didn’t get one but am about to get a bilevel machine tomorrow and would like one. Thanks!
