CPAP with O2 Concentrator

I am trying to figure the best way to get the maximum O2 from a 5 LPM concentrator into the CPAP mask. I do have the Oxygen Adapter Enrichment Port Connector but had also seen some info on making a reservoir like this;

Just hook the O2 hose. Be warned most are prescribed at 2 lpm of O2, I went to school so I am aware lots of that are just exhausted back into the room air from the vent so I use 3 lpm, Also I keep the bedroom door closed year around, with the compressor in another room, so more O2 will build up in the bedroom from that. No heat in winter (Vents closed), and room A/C is running at night set to 67 degrees.

Too much O2 is bad for you... Jim

P.S., your O2 compressor needs to be full flow, NOT Pulse.

Thanks. Maybe I should have been more clear. I use CPAP but don't use O2. I have a 5 LPM concentrator that I am trying to figure the best way to hook up to maximize the FiO2 at the mask in the event that me or my family get COVID-19 and the hospitals are overwhelmed.

That video is full of uselessness, along with the inherent dangers of having a large plastic bucket full of near 100% oxygen. Feeding oxygen *through* a cpap is just begging to have an oxygen fire.


A CPAP is only a fraction of one PSI, oxygen comes out of a concentrator at much much higher pressure compared to a cpap.

Just use the simple t-connector like *sane* people do, or if you have a resmed machine, get one of the climateline oxy heated hoses, they're made for feeding oxygen in.
