Sudden Extreme High AHI
Re: Sudden Extreme High AHI
Shaggyzack....can you get me a much larger leak graph image so I can see where the baseline at the beginning of the night is?
Make it a lot more vertically taller. Just do the leak graph...don't need the other stuff.
I need to see where the baseline is and I can't with it at this scale.

Yeah, sort of...what is the number right at the beginning of the recording where the leak line starts?
I think it looks like it might be around 20 L/min....so that means all the other leak numbers start out with at least that much...and we know you were awake and no leaks were happening.
That baseline should be at or very close to 0.0 and it's not.

Re: Sudden Extreme High AHI
Oh...one other thing....Mr Happy Smiley face for mask leak check or mask fit...all that tells me is that during the mask fit check the leaks didn't go past 24 L/min.
Or that time where you just stuck the hose in your mouth...if it was calculating leak and using a 23 L/min baseline....you would get Mr Happy Face.
It doesn't mean that the baseline was at 0.0 or close as we expect it should or would. Just means you were below 24 L/min.

Re: Sudden Extreme High AHI
Not really much help because it doesn't give me a number.
I can eyeball it a little though because we do have 37 L/min shown.
Half of that is 18.5 L/min....the line is slightly below mid line...so maybe around 15 L/min or so at the beginning and then up around 19 at the end of the not so flat line.
How about we put the red line in so you can see where 24 L/min is?
Put your mouse cursor over on the words "leak rate" on the left side of the graph...right click your mouse...choose "dotted lines" from the menu and scroll down to the bottom and put a check mark in "leak rate upper threshold"
See what I mean about a baseline of 0.0 here. The line is there but can't be seen until the leak develops a little and then continues to get worse until I cross over into large leak territory. I was probably mouth breathing a little but it might have been mask movement as I think that this was a P10 mask night...I have been ill with a snotty nose and I just use the P10 when the nose is a bit snotty. I slept through it so I don't really care. It didn't last all that long whatever it was.

When are you going to be home so you can maybe test out a different machine....didn't you say you had a neighbor who had a spare machine?

Re: Sudden Extreme High AHI
I don't know how to get more of the numbers down the side. I won't be home until March 3. I've messaged LSAT about a new/used machine he has access to. If that works out it should be there when I get home.

I don't know how to get more numbers on the left side either but with the red line we know where 24 L/min is.
Your baseline looks to be just short of 24 L/min. That's why the mask fit check thing gives you Mr Smiley and probably when you did the hose to your mouth thing you got the same Mr Smiley.
Mr Smiley for mask fit just means it isn't leaking more than 24 L/min. That's all it means. It doesn't mean there are zero leaks.
Did you change long hoses? I forget.

This is a new slimline hose. I have a new heated hose with me. I will try it tonight. Thank you so much for all your efforts to help me.

Graphs from last night with heated hose. Much better. I can be ok with this until I get home.
Why is there all of the breaks in the pressure graph?

Re: Sudden Extreme High AHI
Is SmartStart on or off?
If on....It might be that during what the machine thinks is a really bad leak that you are no longer attached so it turns itself off and then once it senses your breathing it turns itself back on.
Though I doubt it....it's happening even when not in large leak like around the 01:20 time frame.
If SmartStart is off...the machine is either turning itself off or it thinks it is turning itself off.
I think you have a sensor issue problem in the machine causing all this whacky stuff to be reported.
That's my best guess anyway...your machine is ailing....I think. I would be making plans for a new machine if it were me.

Smart start is on. I will turn it off. And yes, the machine has been turning itself off... I notice it occasionally, but may be happening more often. New machine purchased, thanks to LSAT. Thanks for everyone’s help.

I have heard of the SmartStart sensor failing....might try turning SmartStart off and see what happens.
