ResMed AirFit F30 (Adjustments?)

Post by AFK » Sat Feb 29, 2020 12:36 am

First thing I must say is that out of all the masks I have tried this is the best (Not itchy...No marks...Very comfortable)

There are a few things that I am wandering can I adjust and will it fix the problem

1)I have seen a post about a website in the USA that sells liners etc for masks but cant remember it any ideas? As I am in Australia any home made solutions ? I will order once I find the site and see if they ship to Australia

2) I am side sleeper and when I move be it the left or right side the mask move ...thus allowing a hurricane like affect to hit my eyes and the noise keeps me awake and or trouble getting back to sleep and I assume leaking

3) Occasionally I get this and I am borrowing from another post When I start to fall asleep sometimes thought not all the time my lips will vibrate like when a kid makes a fart noises...Sorry, its the only way I know how to describe

Any help or suggestions to fix some or all of the above greatly appreciate it

Karen at padacheek.com does indeed ship worldwide.

For your question number 3...sounds like a case of chipmunk cheeks (search the forum for it) where air enters the mouth and lips are closed but the cheeks inflate and the lips part and the air leaks out....some people also liken the sound to a motor boat.
It's a common complaint with all mask type users...the air in the mouth has no where to go but out the mouth. The trick is to prevent it from entering the mouth in the first place.

For your number 2 question...I don't have much to offer since I don't use a full face mask but it's moving when you move around and leaking with the movement. Needs to be slightly tighter...probably the top strap.
If you can't get it to stop....my suggestion is to try a mask that doesn't cover the bridge of the nose area so air can't leak out at that area and blow into your eyes.
