Somehow I posted this in the wrong thread.. I'll see if I can fix it!

(I had multiple tabs opened, and somehow I messed up! At least I know it's not from lack of sleep! )
It happens to me, too.
I tend to blame it on my hand tremors, sometimes Pugsy's aliens.
Embarrassing, isn't it?
sometimes, it's pugsy's aliens with hand tremors.

The system is so broken . . .
We just have to do whatever we need to in order to survive.
And bitch very loudly about it.
Especially to those responsible--or whoever is watching them.

I’m reluctant to call the insurance company since the last time, when the guy I spoke to seemed barely sentient.

Sigh. I called the "provider" yesterday to find out what's up. The girl said she'd find out.

I called this morning, she hasn't found out yet, but she hasn't forgotten me.

How long does this take, anyway?

If your on good terms with your primary care doctor just ask him/her to write you a new prescription for supplies. Any doctor can write it.

I probably could, but I have an appointment with the sleep doc in a few weeks, and this would probably muck up the whole primary/specialist/insurance/supplier symbiosis (or lack thereof).

There may be some states that require yearly renewal of prescriptions, but you should ALWAYS confirm what a DME tells you because it's rarely the truth.

My prescription for supplies was written for 99 YEARS.

And it's always worth comparing. I can buy masks, cushions, and filters on Amazon for cheaper than my co-pays with the DME (when I had coverage) and NO hassle. No rx required either. The only reason to buy with insurance is if it costs you less out of pocket OR you are trying to meet a deductible for other reasons.

Eh, no.
ANYBODY that can write a Rx can write one for a cpap. doctor, dentist, PA, NP, shrink... whatever.
